Using the application is extremely easy - just select a contact you want to set a Message Ringtone for in the Address Book, click the Menu button and choose "Add Message Ringtone" (or "Add Email Ringtone") item. You can control ringtone volume and chose a number of its repetitions. Note: you should disable the sounds for incoming SMS and e-mail in your BlackBerry Profile settings. Otherwise two melodies will play simultaneously. Go to Profiles -> Advanced -> Your Active Profile -> SMS and Mail messages. Please set the "Out of Holster" and "In Holster" parameters as "None" or "Vibrate".
